Film Roll
For the film roll I cut the back ground around the image. I created a layer mask and made the back ground color black.
I selected the image and desaturated it. I duplicated the layer and inverted the top layer. I merged the layers together.
I made the image a smart object. I selected color lookup. I selected edgy amber to create the gold metallic look over the image.
I then took the image, duplicated it, flipped it horizontally, and added it on the other side to make it look like a banner.
Movie Camera
For the movie camera I cut the back ground around the image. I created a layer mask and made the back ground color black.
I selected the image and desaturated it. I duplicated the layer and inverted the top layer. I merged the layers together.
I made the image a smart object. I selected color lookup. I selected edgy amber to create the gold metallic look over the image.
Movie Theater Screen and Chairs
For the movie theater first, I cut the screen away then filled in the empty area with black.
I went to hue/sat and lowered the lightness and changed the hue to a maroon color.
I used this picture because I loved the chairs and wanted to add them to the curtains.
Red Curtains
For the red curtains first, I cut the bottom part of the image and filled the empty area with black.
I went to hue/sat and lowered the lightness and changed the hue to get as close to the maroon chair colors as I could to match the movie theater.
Then I merged the curtain with the chairs to give me a canvas to work on.
Pop Corn
For the pop corn I cut the back ground around the image. I created a layer mask and made the back ground color black.
I selected the image and desaturated it. I duplicated the layer and inverted the top layer. I merged the layers together.
I made the image a smart object. I selected color lookup. I selected edgy amber to create the gold metallic look over the image.
Tickets
For the tickets I used the Polygonal tool to select a blank area inside the box with the letters CINEMA TICKET.
I copy and pasted the selection to cover the letters. I did the same process with MOVIE NAME and ADMIT ONE.
I did this because I wanted to use the tickets to put in the movie night information.
I used the magnetic tool and polygonal tool to delete the ticket underneath. Used Metallic gold steps like the other objects.
Add ons
I used Trajan Color Font to add the event details.
I could not find a gold bar so I took the letter T and increased the font size to 800. Then I raterized the font and turned it into an image.
I need it to be an image so I can manipulate it into what I needed.
I erased the bottom part of the letter T and cut and pasted the top portion until I got a long metallic bar.
I used the bar to split the words movie and night to give my event poster more appeal.
I wanted the movie camera between the chairs and the movie curtains. So I placed the camera in between the curatin and chair layers.
I used an eraser for the bottom of the camera legs with an opacity of 60% to give the appreance of the legs fading into an area with no light.
I also decided to put the movie tickets behind the pop corn to give a sense of depth.
